Guest guest
Good evening, Yesterday I learned of a local wild plant here in WV that is the foundation of Spring festivals - the Wild Leek - known in these parts as the Ramp. I've found several articles on them in a quick web search, but was just wondering if anyone else had heard of them and if they are nutritous. Any good foraging in the Seattle area? I have a book that I bought while I lived there called " Beyond Blackberries " which was written 20 years ago about foraging for food in the Seattle area. If anyone is interested I will sell it and ship it to you. It mostly discusses parks with wild fruit - including the French pear trees at Lincoln Park, just down the hill from Linda Reeve's house.
