Hi Sue,

The 2004 Raw and Living Food Festival will be held August 18

through the 23rd in Portland. Victoria Jayne, the president of

the International Raw & Living Foods Association, which is the group

who puts on the festival, put together a new fundraising program

called eScrip. If you shop at Wild Oats or Whole Foods, you can pay

for your purchase with a debit or credit card and the store will make

a donation to the Living Food Festival Association.

Here is information about the eScrip program:

http://www.escrip.com/program/index.html

E-mail me if you'd like to sign up for this. Have a great day,

Mike in Portland

I just verified the dates this morning. The phone recording said 18,

19, 20, 21, and 22. If it's like previous years, then we can stay over

till the next day (23rd).

It sounds like the volunteer staffing is a bit low at headquarters, so

if anyone on this list has an interest in volunteering, even long

distance, please give them a call (I've found email doesn't get

answered too swiftly).
