Guest guest
RE: Antare's request and Jeff's response to stay " on topic " . In my opinion, even if Kucinich wasn't vegan, his candidacy would be relevant to our efforts to obtain safe, pure, fresh, non-corporate-GMO food. For us not to discuss relevant politics does ourselves and the planet without which we could not be raw foodists, a disservice. Kucinich wants to take the US out of the WTO and NAFTA, which is relevant because it supports local agriculture whcih means a reliable supply of yummy food for us. He also supports a lot of other sane policies in contrast to Bush and Dean, who would continue to support corporate ecocide. What could be more relevant?! The ability of the Earth to support life is immanently relevant to live fooders and other living beings everywhere! I support everyone on this list to not avoid politics in this critical time but rather to get active. Do some research, go to kucinich.us, compare him to Dean and Bush. The democratic caucas is Feb 7, 10 am - noon. If you beleive that a living planet is best for live fooders then get out there and vote for Kucinich! (You can vote for who ever later if he loses). I beleive that to be raw foodists existing in a bubble of limited raw food concerns is not the way to live. Guest guest
Exactly. If it's relevent, then it's not off-topic. This email list was not created to be a bubble, but rather as a list for raw food and related discussions, so we do have an obligation to members who joined for that. When new members ask for guidelines, I'll offer them some. I know some things about Kucinich, but am certainly not an expert. I appreciate your share. Wow! great letter!!! so I guess you have my e-mail already! It's a surprise to me to see these responses in my e-mail, because I didn't know they were visible to anybody but the site master. Anyway, great letter. I'm gonna be glad to borrow some phrases from it. Love,Antares
