Wanna translate for us? I think the second part of the first sentence means, " ...we would all be vegetarian, " and the second part of the second sentence means, " ...knowing that we now are contributing to their suffering. " How's that for a Latin scholar, eh?
Guest guest
Hey Eric That was pretty good I didn't know you were a latin scholar. Here is the whole translation: " If the slaughterhouses had glass walls we would all be vegetarians. We would feel better within ourselves and with the animals, knowing we wouldn't be contributing to their soffering. " --- " Eric Scott Farris " <rawseattle wrote: RawSeattle , Kiko <kikocavalcante> wrote: > > > > ===== > Wálter " Kiko " Cavalcante de Assis > Osasco-S.P. > > " Se os matadouros tivessem paredes de vidro, todos seriamos vegetarianos.Nós nos sentimos melhores com nós mesmos e melhores com os animais, sabendo que nós não estamos contribuindo para o sofrimento deles " . > Paul e Linda McCartney Looks pretty Portugese to me....Socorro? Guest guest
That reminds me of a client I had once who had been a vet-med student at WSU, and had to visit a slaughterhouse as part of her coursework. She became vegetarian after that visit! " If the slaughterhouses had glass walls we would all be vegetarians. We would feel better within ourselves and with the animals, knowing we wouldn't be contributing to their soffering. "
