Guest guest
Here is a link to information regarding the food pyramid and " food intake patterns. " The Center for Nutrition Policy and Promotion (CNPP)(Agency of USDA) is soliciting comments on proposed revisions to the food intake patterns that form the basis for the Food Guide Pyramid. Proposed Daily Food Intake Patterns (what the heck does that mean??? That basically tells me that they now know they can't get away with promoting this stuff as " nutrition " so they call it a " food intake pattern! " How about " Agriculture Industry Stimulator? " After all, this is not from a nutrition or health department of the government, it is from the USDA, the US Dept. of Agriculture. Their job is to promote US agriculture!) http://www.usda.gov/cnpp/pyramid-update/index.html A 2000 calorie diet would have me eating only 1 cup of fruits and only 2 cups of vegetables per day! How's a human supposed to live on that? If I followed their recommended diet, my blood pressure would go back up, my migraines would return, as likely would my ulcer, I would go back to having colds and flus, and I would have problems with my ears when flying (in a jet, that is... I couldn't fly under my own power till I went raw! It becomes more and more clear to me, whether it is intentional or not, the government is recommending ill health. They are actually promoting disease! Amazing! I'm a human. They promote " milk. " The only " milk " natural to humans is human breast milk. I don't think they conferred with my mother on that one. At 2-3 cups of milk recommended per day, and with three adult children, I don't think my mother would go for that! But, I digress... Have a look at the recommendations. feel free to send your comments.
