Guest guest Posted October 5, 2003 Report Share Posted October 5, 2003 Just a funny story....I've had this hard-shelled melon sitting around for maybe a couple months or more, not cut open. Not sure what variety it is. Anyway, I finally cut it open today. The flesh is just fine, no bad taste. [i never saw any blemishes from the outside for all this time--must be high brix. :-)] But the funny part: many of the seeds sprouted! That's right, they sprouted right there INSIDE THE FRUIT! They grew kinda long, too! Should I try making a dish out of them to bring to the next potluck? Nah. :-) OK, just wanted to share that. :-) Hope you enjoyed it.
