Guest guest
Have any of you ever heard of a limit in how much vege juice you should drink at one time? When I did the Halleluia diet, 80% raw, the woman who walked me through it stressed ONLY 8 ounces at a time or you overload your system and now I read about a woman who drinks 32 ounces!? Guest guest
Juicing does concentrate a lot of nutrients, including sugars, so many people (physicians and nutritionists, included) recommend mixing half/half with water. I very rarely have done that, but thought I'd throw that in. I'd personally go with my intuition and instincts. I wouldn't deprive myself. If I really wanted some juices, and lots of it, I may try it for a while and see how I felt. There have been a few times I felt that fresh juices hit the spot, but in all the time I've been raw, there have only been a few periods of time I did a lot of juicing. Guest guest
I have heard of a limit on FRUIT juices, especially if a person has blood sugar or candida problems, but not with vegetable juices. The only problem I've ever heard of with vegetable juices was with someone who drank lots of carrot juice for an extended period. The beta carotene level in the body got so high, the person's skin turned orange! The person backed off on the carrot juice and the problem went away. Personally, I don't drink any more than two cups (16 oz) at a time. It takes a lot of vegetables to make 32 ounces of juice, I don't think you would want to eat all the vegetables in one sitting that would make all that juice, so I don't think its a good idea to drink that much at once.
