Guest guest
BTW, I posted some pics in the photo album from Tuesday when I ate at Juliano's Raw restaurant in Santa Monica. We had the raw rolls, pasta freska alfredo, cheezeburger and fries, and strawberry mousse torte. Everything is 100% organic and raw (so said the waitress) and all our food was quite good. Prices were around $6 for appatizers and desserts and $14 for entrees. Also, I noticed that the Sherman Oaks Whole Foods was heavily promoting a raw food prep class this coming Saturday. Guest guest
Interesting that you had good meals at Juliano's "Raw" in Santa Monica- I was there a couple of months ago with 3 other (2 raw & one vegan) & very little was edible- VERY heavily salted; my tongue was burning even afterwards. The waitperson was quite inattentive overall, & also forgot one person's entree, which, when she was reminded, brought it incomplete at the end. As we were leaving, a woman in our group (who had owned 3 successful veg restaurants in the past) went up to Juliano to comment on the saltiness, & he was quite dismissive bordering on rude- seems he only wants praise & compliments. Later, I mentioned the experience to raw chef Bruce Horowitz when he was up here doing the demo with Karen Parker (he used to work with Juliano in San Francisco) & he was not at all surprised at the heavy saltiness, or the attitude. Needles to say, I will not go there again, but I'm glad the food was good when you were there, as there are so few places to eat out. Gideon W. Seattle - Timothy D.
