Guest guest
Pardon the off-topic post, but it does deal with health... Where I work we are undergoing some renovations. Starting next weekend, we will be getting new carpet and having the entire clinic repainted. I am rather chemically sensitive and realize it will be no picnic dealing with the fumes. When the outside hallway was re-carpeted last year, I would get light-headed just walking through the hall (I learned not to breath till I reached our office.) I will be bringing in an ion type air purifier. The clinic agreed to purchase one as well. If anyone has an air purifier that is not being used or could easily be spared for a few weeks, please let me know. I would greatly appreciate it. (how about a pint for rent?) Depending on how toxic the air is, I may have to take some time off. (we have no open windows in the office!) Anyone have other tips, such as types of foods to eat/avoid? (hows that for bringing the topic back to raw food?) Jeff
Guest guest
I have a Living Air brand air purifier, it uses ozone to nullify odors. You're welcome to borrow it. Guest guest
According to my former ND (retired from seeing patients), Walter Crinnion, who specializes in environmental medicine: Ozone purifiers are good to use for times one is not in the room with the purifier. For example, they are great for killing mold. But it's not healthy to be breathing ozone.Ron Koenig <ron.koenig wrote: I have a Living Air brand air purifier, it uses ozone to nullify odors. Guest guest
Thanks! I suspect that is true, but I'll take my chances over the fumes I know are toxic to me. I wish everyone would just use all natural, non-toxic materials! Jeff > But it's not healthy to be breathing ozone.
Guest guest
According to my understanding of it, high concentrations of ozone are not healthy to breathe. What the air purifier puts out is comparable to naturally occurring ozone and is harmless. It is great at removing odors.
