District one opens on the 24th, and Lake City opens the 29th. Most of them

seem to be opening earlier than last year.

Where is the Lake City Farmer's Market? How does it compare to the U

I don't know the address, but LC Farmer's Market is right by/north of the LC Library. They have less organic than U-District, but not bad...

The Lake City market is just north of 125th St., and about 2 blocks west of

Lake City Way. It has a few organic farmers represented, it's smaller than

the U. District market. Wild Willie's is there, and there's a fellow who

has organic melons later in the summer. I recall that there are a couple

others as well.

The Lake City market opens on Thursday 3-7pm. If you have to be away on some

weekends you can shop at Lake City market instead. I did that when I joined

some hiking events on Saturdays.
