Guest guest
Hi everyone, I wondered if I could survey some of the raw fooders in the group who have been refining and simplifying their diet, like those moving toward natural hygiene or are following Doug Graham's 80/10/10 thing. I'm especially interested in getting feedback from people who feel they are having success doing this (Eric, Socorro, Joyce, Attila come to mind, among others). I'd just like you to post what you eat in a typical day. I know this changes drastically seasonally, so let's assume it's a day within the last week or so. Thanks very much! Guest guest
I've been moving more towards mono. It's been in the back of my mind for quite a while (15 years?). I may go 5 or 6 days mono, then one meal or a fes days with some mixed foods. One difference where I've noticed a big difference is not using dressings with my greens. One of my reasons for focusing more attention on mono greens (or at least no dressing) is I have less sensitivity in my teeth when I eat my greens by themselves, without dressing. It does seem that my teeth are benefiting directly from the greens I am chewing. It's as though the dressings (even simple oil) may be coating both the greens and my teeth to prohibit any absorption by my teeth. A typical mono day: (organic!) Fruit for breakfast (a melon, some mangos, OR some oranges) Fruit for snacks during the day (typically bananas, sometimes dates) Greens for lunch ( " spring mix " , or a head of romaine or red leaf, etc.) Greens for dinner ( " ) I've recently been trying a low fat diet (no avocados, coconut, nuts/seeds.) I've had some sesame sauces a couple times in the last couple weeks, otherwise I've been following this and haven't missed the fats (just those couple times.) You don't need to lose weight, and the body (especially the brain) needs some fat. I'm just concerned that you not deprive yourself of what the body needs. Take care.
