Guest guest
I will pick up a bunch of bunches :-) of organic, locally (Kent)- grown red Russian kale. The price will be a steal at $1/bunch. I'll have them at tonight's potluck. The person who got a box of it from the Kent farmer says that this red Russian variety has a sweet taste, is tender and easy to eat, and has the highest level of calcium among the varieties of kale. I can concur with all that, as a friend of mine (Jessie Breznau) gave me a taste of this same variety from her own garden. The woman I'm getting the kale from today is also willing to trade these kale bunches for other varieties of kale, or some other produce. I'll bring along the Peruvian olives as well, which are $7 per 12-oz. jar. You can taste them first to see if you want to buy more.
Guest guest
Eric, I had e-mailed you before the last pot luck about the olives but you may not have gotten it. I was wondering if you could save 1 or 2 jars for me and let me mail you the money. I won't be able to make it to Seattle for about a month. Thanks, Breezi I'll bring along the Peruvian olives as well, which are $7 per 12-oz. jar. You can taste them first to see if you want to buy more.
