Guest guest
I've heard/read a number of times that many raw fooders have had tooth problems. I suspect this is from the eating of so many fruits not naturally ripe. The tropical fruits we receive in the NW have been picked so early, that they have more acid than if we were picking them perfectly ripe from the tree. While eating mostly fruits may be an ideal for our physiology/anatomy as humans, we are not living in the ideal environment (tropics) and therefor do not get ideal fruits. They may be very good at times, but may still be acidic. It may also be that some of us do not consume enough minerals in our diet, whether that be greens or otherwise. Or perhaps our bodies, after decades of improper food, medications, toxins, etc., are not working efficiently enough to keep our teeth in ideal shape. I believe if I was able to do an extended water fast and was able to then do a week or more water fasting every year, that my body would be better able to regenerate tissues, including enamel. Dear Jeff Many years ago I read an article in the Well Being Journal about someone who had reversed tooth decay by just eating spouts. Also Anne Wigmore had grey hair in her 50's, by her 80's it had all returned to it's original black color. She cosumed saurkraut, rejuvelac and spouts. This story was confirmed by Anrayleo who worked with her. When the Boutenco's first went raw and were touring around in their van they made and ate a lot of sprouts and this may have helped regenerate their son's tooth enamel. The trouble was that this was translated into " every one on raw food will not experience tooth decay. " A typical universalization of one person's experience that so many raw fooders do. I now believe that if my son had been eating a lot of sprouts for the last 3 years his teeth may not be so bad, but just try to get him to eat sprouts or saurkaut.
