Meetups

I learned about this recently, and it's a cool idea. From the FAQ's

on www.MeetUp.com:

 

" What is a Meetup?

 

" It's a local gathering of a group of people brought together by a

common interest. Real world, face-to-face... "

 

I went to this month's Seattle vegetarian meetup, and it went well.

I met mainly three other vegetarians there, and they were pretty cool

(of course). A funny thing happened too--the photography meetup was

held immediately after the vegetarian meetup in the same location,

and when the photography people came, the first few were vegetarian

too!

 

Anyway, I would encourage you all to look into this. I

suggested " RawFood " as a new meetup topic. I may end up being the

creator of " International RawFood Meetup Day " ! :-) Come to the vegan

and vegetarian meetups with me, and maybe we can make some more

converts out of them. :-)
