Guest guest
Does anybody know what Nathan Pritikin died from? It's been so long ago, but it seems to me he died from heart disease. Can anyone confirm that? I was on the Pritikin diet for about a year and loved it. ....many years ago..... :-) Linda _______________ STOP MORE SPAM with the new MSN 8 and get 2 months FREE* http://join.msn.com/?page=features/junkmail
Guest guest
Linda My understanding was that he was back in the hospital for the return of cancer. He did not want to go through the treatments again and committed suicide while in the hospital. An autopsy was performed and his arteries were found to be " squeaky clean " confirming that his diet had a healthful effect of removing plaque from the arteries. Guest guest
Wow. Thanks Ramona. So his diet helps with heart disease, but not cancer it seems. I remember ordering cases of specially made Pritikin Bread from a West Seattle bakery and splitting the order with my inlaws at the time. We supported each other, and I was pregnant with Kristopher. We never fed him any sugar for his first few years. It all changed when my father-in-law died of a heart attack. sigh... I guess we gave up on the diet. It was his diabetes that got us started on the diet. :-) Linda RawSeattle , " sturtevants " <Sturtevants@q...> wrote: > Linda > > My understanding was that he was back in the hospital for the return of > cancer.
