Guest guest
Hi Lisa- About the Manna Bread: I actually e-mailed the company a couple of years ago, & although they would not tell me the exact temperature their breads are prepared at (proprietary info), they DID say that they were NOT raw, which lead me to the conclusion that it's over 118. I have found that when I've tried making batches at home in the dehydrator they have never (after many attempts) converted to that sweet taste that the Manna company's breads have, plus the texture is never the same. I'm assuming the higher temp's of their products is what alters the starches in the sprouts to sugars, & thus makes them tasty. It's more due to family obligations than the fear of attending apotluck with them. In fact, I'm really looking forward to bringing myfamily with me. I would love to chat more with other raw food moms. It'sso hard having to cook food for my family, accompany them to restaurants,etc.. I keep thinking I must be out of my mind to attempt this, but I won'tquit now. It's been 10 days! Does anyone know if Manna Bread is actuallyraw? I could definitely use some hints about good places to shop, eat outand find ways to make this doable.Lisa
