Guest guest
At the 12 steps Raw Food thingie, I had atleast two people ask me how I found out about raw foods and I couldn't remember. I remembered, (want to drive me nuts? Ask me something I know I know the answer to, but can't remember....It will drive me insane (some would argue I am already there..anyway...)) It was a female co worker that helped me along the vegetarian path last year, it was actually still by accident. She had recommended a book (among others) " Raw Power " by Arlin. So I got that book, and after like 2 paragraphs it said you should first read Nature's First Law by Arlin, Dino, and Wolfe (or something like that) So I got that book and started to read it, after about 2 chapters I put the book down in a fit of rage, swearing that was it! I did not want to be a rawfooder if they were this condescending, holy-er that thou nut cases! I read a few unrelated books, but in the back of my mind the RAW Food idea still lurked about. So I broke down and did some more searching and found Victoria Boutenko's book, 12 Steps to Raw Food. That is when I really started thinking seriously about it. So Arlin, Dino, and Wolfe almost turned me completely away, but Victoria saved the day! And I must say, I very much enjoyed Victoria's seminar/class this weekend. It has been a long time since I have had the pleasure of meeting 2 people who were so passionate (in a good way) about something, and truly spoke from their hearts. If I had to give the weekend one highlight, it would have to be Friday Night when Igor unexpectedly spoke. Talk about passion and heart! AMAZING! If anyone has not gone to one of Victoria's classes, GO, don't think about it, just drop what you're doing and go. It'll be the best 2 days and $100 you've spent. If you missed it in Seattle, I believe she will be in Portland this week. Check www.rawfamily.com to be sure. <<Monte steps off his soap box, and exits stage right>>
Guest guest
P.S. I did eventually read Raw Power and Natures First Law, after I calmed down, and took some lithium (or is it took some lithium and calmed down?) Can't remember.
