GUEST LECTURE: " What's Wrong with Genetically Engineered Foods? "

by Craig Winters. Craig Winters is Executive Director of The Campaign

to Label Genetically Engineered Foods and a long-time natural food

activist. Craig is a former instructor at Bastyr University and has

worked in the natural products industry for 25 years.

 

Craig's talk will update you on the latest news in the battle over

genetically engineered foods. Find out about how pharmaceutical drugs

grown in biotech crops may be contaminating the food supply unless

regulations are strengthened. Discover why the rest of the world is

fighting genetically engineered foods and why the future of organic

agriculture in the United States is in jeopardy from biotech foods. You

will enjoy Craig's optimistic and enthusiastic presentation as he

explains why grassroots activism can defeat the corporate powers that

are trying to control the global food supply.

 

DINNER PROGRAM: A four-course, organic vegan buffet dinner (complete

with soup, salad, entree, and dessert) starting at 6:30 PM. Cost: Only

$18 for both EarthSave members and guests. (Half price for children

between 5 and 12.) Raw-foods option available for $5 extra. All prices

include the sales tax.

 

Please note we have modified the price on our dinners. Guests use to pay

$22. Now everyone pays $18 (price includes tax) for these exceptional

four-course buffet dinners. We hope this new pricing arrangement will

encourage more non-members of EarthSave to attend our delicious dinners

and educational lectures on a regular basis. So please tell your

Members and guests who only wish to attend only the lecture part of the

dinner may choose to arrive at 7:45 PM, paying an admission charge of

$3, which will include either tea, coffee, or dessert.
