Guest guest
Hello all- I just came from buying a case of Lisa Ladmer-Price's delcious family- made olive oil, & will be bringing it to the potluck at Linda's this Sat., the 25th, for those of you who use oils & would like to get the best at a great price. It was $20 a bottle in singles, but $15 each getting a case of 12 (a 25% discount); they are 25.4 oz. I am passing along the discounted price to whoever buys them from me, as I'm just trying to make back some of the money since splurging on the case. Since she's in Seattle, there's no shipping. The following is an excerpt of the e-mail she sent me when I wrote to her asking for more information: We make our oil in small batches and we make different varietals. Our oil is unpressed, we use a mill called a Pieralisi and use no water or heat to process the oil, thus no enzymes or nutrients are lost. The olives are picked and processed the same day which you will never find in a larger brand. I've not tried the Bariani, but I've been told our oil is much better. What I have right now is made from Ascolano olives. Our Ascolano has a green, almost grassy flavor, very smooth, not overpowering and wonderful for drizzling, dipping, salads, pestos. It is very fresh tasting. It will mellow with age and will last for years unopened. Gideon gseraph 206-778-7692
