There's a monthly potluck at my house in West Seattle--the last Sat. of the

month. Bussing is easy, until 7pm. Getting a ride home is usually very

Hi! New to the group! Have some questions for you all

 

How can I become involved in the raw food community here in Seattle?

I bus everywhere or walk so are their things going on near the

downtown/surrounding areas that people can attend?

 

Also has anyone been to the Living Light Culinary Arts Institute? I

was thinking of going this summer for one of their courses. Kind of a

vacation/schooling opportunity.

Poco,

 

Wellcome! Feel free to jump right in! Keep an eye on our website

(http://www.rawseattle.ORG.) Attend any functions that are of

interest to you. We don't normally have any near downtown, although

that is only because no-one has hosted one there. We occasionally

have an event, such as a class, at the Cascade Peoples Center (309

Pontius, Seattle). That's about the closest we have been to downtown.

Hopefully some of our events are easily accessible by bus/bike. If

you are interested in an event, you are also welcome to post to this

list looking to carpool. Hopefully, we'll see you at an event.

 

Apparently, the Boutenkos (http://www.rawfamily.com) will be here in

February for a workshop and they usually use the Cascade ctr.
