Guest guest Posted January 8, 2003 Report Share Posted January 8, 2003 OH, YEAH! Always chew your food thoroughly! And DON'T drink with your meals!!! I suspect most have heard of these! Give your teeth and saliva a chance to start the digestion process. If you've chewed till it's like water, you've done great! (many of us don't have the patience for that). Drinking fluids with meals dilutes the enzymes and stomach acid. Avoid drinking less than 30 minutes (maybe 15) before you eat and at least an hour after. As long as I am well hydrated, I never feel a need to drink with meals, or anytime soon after.
