Guest guest
Hey Monte! Please come to a potluck, it doesn't matter if you only bring salad. The important thing is that you will meet like minded people, have fun and see (or taste, rather) how delicious raw food can be. Don't be too hard on yourself for not sticking to it. Try to take one day, or even one meal at a time. If you tell yourself that you can never eat anything cooked again in your whole life, it can be pretty scary, but if you tell yourself that you will eat only fruit for breakfast today, it will be a lot easier. Guest guest
I think you are right Olesja, I did ok today, completely raw up until I was on my way home. Even if this is as good as I get(it won't be) , it is worlds above how I used to eat. So for me even a not perfect day is a great improvement. I discovered another cool thing today, I am way more willing to try new fruits and veggies. Today I bought a Papaya, I have never had one. You know I actually think it is cheaper to eat raw too. I bought a cucumber, green bell pepper, red bell pepper, .5lb greens, lime, lemon, the papaya, i think I am forgetting something, but anyway it was under $11.00 most of it was organic too. That is like 1 day and a half of food. I love Kiwi, lemme tell ya...yummmmy. I tried a new melon yesterday too, I can't remember what it is, it looks like an oblong cantaloupe, but the flesh looks more like honey dew. Pretty tasty. Oh and I have a question. Do you wash your fruits & veggies? Do you just rinse them, or really scrub? And why? I read somewhere that our bodies can produce B-12 if we get a little dirt from our food in our system. Is this true? What about things like e-coli? You all have made me feel very welcome, and I can't tell you how much it means to me. So...Thanks!
