Guest guest
Hi Gang, I just wanted to let you all know that you can also get Black Sphinx dates via mail order and get a better price at http://www.azdate.com/. Black Spinx dates are in my opionion the very best date, because they taste like Chocolate and Marshmallow mixed (aka: smores, shy the graham cracker). He'll ship 6lbs for 24 dollars total (dates + shipping). 12bls is 44 dollars, a slightly better deal. I spoke with the owner of the company (at least it sounded like he was . Evidently the dates grow in a residential area so if somebody sprays their lawn or something we're going to eat it. Although the same is true for most Organic produce grown in any major farming region (Yakima for example, does anyone know what that means, Yakima?). Because if your neighbor is using pesticides then you're farm is going to be somewhat toxic even if you're trying to grow Organically. Although he told me that he had the farm tested at one point when it was legal for him to certify and his crop was within safe levels. If I understood him correctly due to the uncontrollable environment that his dates are growing under he can't certify his dates organically anymore. So these are quality dates and I still highly recommend them. He also doesn't freeze them which is obviously important . Darn it! I forgot to ask if he steems them, or in any other way alters the dates from their natural state. Boy I'm a big help . Oh well if someone orders they can find out and reply to this post and then we'll all know. In a large group like what Seattle has you guys could certainly do a bulk order and reap the fruits of your discount . Hell you could probably talk him into selling something like 100lbs for an even better price. Why doesn't everyone reply to this message with how much they want and somebody can be a volunteer to handle the order? Also Would Eric and or Linda reply to let me know that the URL will be added to our links page?
