Guest guest
forward from Bob Avery's email to M2M: I have great news to report. Raw fooder KT DeLettre (Lambart) was freed from the El Dorado County Jail Wednesday night! Through the gargantuan efforts of many people working on the family's behalf, the punitive bail of $500,000 was raised. She had been incarcerated since mid-July, first in New Mexico pending extradition, where her dietary beliefs were quasi-adhered to, then in Placerville, CA, where bananas, citrus and melons were the only food she got and no water at all for 33 days! When she was originally arrested, she weighed 115 pounds. Upon her release Wednesday, she weighed in at 84 pounds, and Ric (her husband) was fearful that she might not have survived until January 3 when the bail reduction hearing is scheduled. So she is now out in time for the Christmas holidays, and Ric and KT will soon be on their way to Dr. Vetrano's ranch in Barksdale, TX for recuperation. I spoke with her on the phone this morning, and her voice seemed strong and clear. Ric says, "She is already responding well to the intake of real food - and of her first fat and water in over 33 days." The family wishes to express their thanks to all who have helped make this extraordinary event possible. Bob Avery
