Guest guest
I have been enjoying Venlencia oranges from PCC. Their brix level are around 15. I took three brix reading on one section of the orange. On the stem end i get around 9 or 10, from the middle of the section, about 14 or 15, 16 and on the flower end i get 15, 16 and even 17, which tastes like candy. This is the highest brix level i have found so far for oranges. I don't know if Valencias are supposed to have higher brix than other variety. I think these are picked at the peak of their season. Satsumas are on specail for 1.98 but their brix are around 11, 12. IThe valencias taste better for me. They are 1.39/lb. I asked the lady in PCC if they were tree-riped but she didn't know. These oranges look tree-riped to me. They are very easy to peel. The sections are almost separate from the peel and they look fully grown and some of them already burst open. Some of stickers says Rainbow Valley Orchard and some says Earthbound Farm but they look like same kind of oranges from the same place.
