We are not cats. A poor diet in cats can cause blindness, liver disease,

pancreatitis, fur loss, hearing loss, ulcers, colitis and the list goes on.

Cats

need a myriad of trace minerals that are not found in veggies. Dogs do not.

Cats are very sensitive to diet. In the wild cats eat NOTHING BUT MEAT.

Nothing. Not the bones, stomach contents or anything else. When starving some

cats will eat whatever they can but a lot of cats starve to death simply

because they can't get meat.

I agree, Heather.

I think it is dangerous to our pets to assume what is good for us is good for

them. After all, chocolate is poisonous to cats and dogs, but humans and rats

consume it just fine. And I have heard that onions are bad for, hmmm, was it

cats, or dogs? Can't remember. Lots of stuff my dog can eat would put me in

the hospital with food poisoning. Point is, one is not the same as another even

if we are all mammals together. :)

I totally agree.

I heard all types of these things from my students parents.

I have also found through my own " research " that I have some of the same

types of reactions, just not as bad.

Luckily, I haven't been really sick since I have become an " extreme

Vegetarian - I don't completely fall under the Vegan label because I will buy

wheat

bread with honey in it [because I cant find any without honey in the regular

stores!!!!! - and I don't see any nutritional value in white bread). I haven't

had to take many over the counter meds. Although when i do have to take a

decongestant i will not invest in the " night time " type ... cause i fall asleep

from the regular ones. =o)

ADD types respond to stimulants in an opposite manner-hence the prescription
