dragon fruit

here's another tropical fruit to look for at the markets. it's called a dragon fruit.

 

after learning about the dragon fruit from jojo, a couple of raw fooder's who went up to the taste of health smuggled this one into the states and we ate the evidence at the last b'ham potluck. this one was a bit old but still worth eating.

 

due to the blurry photo, it's hard to see but the flesh is similar to kiwi. Flavor??? um... someone else will have to step in here.
