tent camping at the raw fest

according to one of the raw fest folks returning phone calls (i forget her name), there's 'no' tent camping at the festival site this year, just dorms and rv parking. can anyone recommend a tent campground in the festival area where we might camp as a group? or does raw portland have an egroup where i can post this same message? norm )~ ..... raw food, simply delicious .....

 

 

 

 

 

2002 International Raw & Living Foods Festival

 

August 23, 24, 25 - Portland, Oregon!

 

The 2000 Festival was focused on bring the, then, most visible raw & living food teachers together to network, create alliances & explore possibilities for themselves & the movement. The 2001 Festival was focused on showing the depth & variety of teachers, visions, disciplines, modalities & ideas currently in our Movement & in other compatible causes.

 

THIS YEAR - 2002 the worldwide Festival will be focused on the people out there living the raw foods lifestyle & identifying their diversity, their needs, their commonalties & their worldwide issues, as well as their possible joint actions.BRAVE RAW WORLD is the name for this year's International Festival & we are looking for people to be BRAVE RAW WORLD AMBASSADORS from every area in the United States & every country worldwide. Are you one of them?

 

This year's event will be held August 23, 24, 25 in Portland, Oregon. The later date this year will give the International Festival sunnier weather & more ripe, fresh, local grown, organic produce! We're excited about all of this & know that you will be too… whether you are just exploring what raw foods are, beginning to move into a living foods lifestyle or have "been there/done that" for a long time.

 

The worldwide Festival this year will feature three concurrent tracks using speakers, experiential workshops, panels & food demos that spotlight information for those beginning their raw foods lifestyle journey, those who have been on the path for a while & want to expand their knowledge & those who are long time raw foodists who want "something new" to learn to further enhance their experiences.

 

There will even be a special introduction mini-class & tour for people who do not know what our lifestyle is all about & would like to have an overview before committing to the cost of attending the Festival. Presentations of raw life styles, intentional communities and raw foods happenings worldwide will also be a part of this visionary gathering. Helping to make the worldwide raw foods movement itself more visible will also be in the spotlight for this year's event. Raw Issues---World Issues, all will be a part of the 2002 International Festival!

 

Tickets this year will be $30US for a single day or $75US for the 3 days, with a 10% discount on the 3 day price if purchased before July 1, 2002. Members of the International Raw & Living Foods Association will receive an additional 10% discount on all ticket purchases. Membership in the Association is $20US per person per year. (Children 14 & under are admitted free with a paid adult)

 

Maximize your experience at this year's event & stay on the grounds in spacious, modern dormitories and individual rooms. Accommodations should be reserved in advance. Costs are $20US per person per night for over 14, children 4 to 14 are $10US per person per night & under 4 are free. Bring your own bedding or rent a complete bedding packet of sheets/pillow/blanket/bath set for $5 per person for the weekend. RV parking is also available. RV hookups are $25US per night and should also be reserved in advance as space is limited.
