Guest guest
I saw this in the VeganForLife . Pretty interesting idea. There are follow-up messages too, which you can see if you join that group. VeganForLife, amanda hetherington <amanda@n...> wrote: Hi All The recent case where a woman with cancer caused by smoking, won compensation from the tobacco company who make her brand has me thinking now about whether this is something that could be done to meat, egg and dairy companies. I don't have much knowledge about legal procedures, but if it can be proven that these companies are selling a product that has been shown to cause cancer, could someone with cancer of the colon (for example), take them to court? From what I've read to date, it seems pretty clear to me that the organisations responsible for the production and promotion of meat, eggs and dairy products are well aware of the adverse effects their products have on human health, however they are constantly covering up and successfully convincing people that they *need* these products to be healthy. Is this not exactly what the tobacco companies have been doing for years? I'd be interested to know what you think.
