Since we are on the topic, diesel vehicles can use bio-diesel, which is made from vegetable oil. It can even be recycled from french-fry oil (why would anyone cook their potatoes?). It pollutes far less (apparently smells like french fries!), and is renewable. Cars can also be converted to natural gas (very clean burning). More information on bio-diesel and other related topics can be found here: http://www.fuelwerks.com/ " Dr. Dan " sells bio-diesel in Ballard.
