Hi Everyone-

If the snowy weather has rekinded any desires for hot

soups, warm breads, smoky flavors and tantalizing

tastes that fire up the soul, Sun Raw's Warmth class

this Sunday will deliver! Class will be held from 2-

5pm at the Vita Bar, 8334 Rainier Ave. South, Seattle,

WA 98118. As always, a FREE one-hour lecture will

precede each class, from 1-2pm.

Living cuisine can contribute to thriving in colder

climates, and knowing what and HOW to prepare raw

foods when the cold strikes is invaluable. This is,

in essence, a workshop on heating up live foods. You

are invited to attend this 3-hour class where you'll

learn how to make (and then EAT) the following:

Fire & Fennel Fruit Stew- a fruit stew! This taste

cannot be described beyond being an interplay between

sweet and salty melodies, sculpted with Ayervedic

spices and chunks of select fruit. Served warm, and

of course, unfired.

Chai-Cinnamon Rolls- welcome to breakfast heaven.

These sticky-sweet buns are as soft as they are

delectable, and have becomes one of my best-sellers.

They'll melt in your mouth, still warm from the

dehydrator and topped with a creamed icing.

Sun Samosas- these palm-sized hot pockets of Indian

hommage are perfect lunch food or dinner appetizers.

They incorporate warming spices, choice vegetables and

a substantive nutty base, complete with a texture that

reigns supreme over true 'fry-baked' samosas. As a

bonus, they're even very GOOD for you, hosting

anti-carcinogenic properties, and, of course, love :).

Fruit Chutney- De-lish! This is very easy to make

and keeps for weeks. With mango-cardamom undertones,

this accoutriment may be habit-forming.

Thanks to all who have attended, & /or will attend Sun

Raw workshops. All proceeds used to open the Sun Raw

restaurant in Seattle, 2003.

Namaste-

Karen
