Persistent virus?

Hello,

Paula, I am feeling for you! Sorry, haven't been on line lately. And

everyone else out there who is ill. My belief is different from some of the

other rawfooders, I do believe (Annette), that we can " catch " a cold. I

believe that it's like everything else in life. Why some people get hit by a

car walking across the street, while other are daredevils and live long

lives. Why some smoke their whole like and never seem to suffer any major

illnesses. The world is full of " undesirable " things,

sickness, heartache, trauma, drama, death, people who don't like us, people who

are very much like us (often the same people) I believe all of these things

are opportunities in disguise. Opportunities for change! Yes, I believe

viruses exist and bacteria too, they are there for us if we feel we need to

bring them in our life. Like the ever looming threat of danger, illness is

there for us. The quickest way out of these situations is first to understand

this is happening to bring about a change. Are you the type of person who

only rest when you are sick? then you just needed a rest. Try to do it next

time without the illness. Do you feel " sick " inside where no one can see and

feel you need to create it externally, so people can see how you really feel?

Are you one of those people who takes care of others and you feel it should

be your turn. Maybe your parents only paid attention to you when you were

sick and you feel you are in need of attention. Or you only allowed your self

to be self nurturing during times of illness, and thus, you have illness. Are

you reliving an old pattern?

I have found that people often repeat the same scenarios over and over in

their life, and in their many lives. Each " undesirable " is a reminder, a

" wake-up call " , a way to help pull you out of the perpetual cyclical pattern

and get a new perspective. Because, like it or not, most people do NOT

initiate change when thinks are " good " . To avoid illness, and other

undesirables, you need to eliminate their need to be their. By being very

proactive. Dig deep within, ever probing, ever changing, ever looking without

a " reason " (like illness). Keep one step ahead. I believe holistically. We

can use food, just like all other things in existence on this earth, to

create what we need to fulfill our personal journeys, what ever they are.

Food is our self prescribed medicine. Whether it's a tub of ice cream for

heartache or a juice fast for intestinal rest. Maybe it's time to step back

and reevaluate what you learned and make changes. What role has illness

played in your life? What role has food played in your life? What role have

YOU played in your life?

I believe, and have experienced spontaneous healing, illness and physical

pain. It exist! We create it and we can, no DO, end it. We, of course, also,

more often than not, perpetuate it. Food is only one factor, necessary, but

not the solution in it's self.

Now for Paula, if you are still suffering. I suggest:

Network chiro (or cranial sacral)

Lots of steam, with camphor, euch, menthol, peppermint oils

Sauna (drink drink drink)

Look at your tongue- is it deep red or pale? coated?

deep red- juice cucumbers, parsley, cilantro, celery/ or watermelon

juice

pale- ginger, ceyanne, garlic/ or pineapple juice

get in touch with emotional issues

look for patters and possible avenues of change

listen to your body, despite request or expectations of others.

Strawberries have a natural pain killing effect

Valerian, will help to get some sleep

Eliminate in everyway (physically, mentally, emotionally, spiritual)

Movement, what ever feels good, be creative

** fever for at least three days left undisturbed will kill parasites within**

Happy healing, embrace it for the opportunity it is, Zita

I have really good luck with the fizzie drink packets of Emer'gen-C whenever I get sick. I take two of them at a time several times a day and for me it works the best.... maybe cause it's assimilated well and has some Bs and minerals with the vit. C.

Terri

introducing myself... new to the list.

not yet a raw eater but moving that direction, and I do live in Seattle.

amy, dear, as you probably noticed, several people

have had the same problems recently, nothing unusual,

spring cleaning, detoxification stuff... so be a good

girl, and love your body so much that you will stay

out of the way, this means getting in bed, drinking

nothing but clean distilled water, close your eyes

at all time, shut out the outside with its noises as

much as you can, and stay in bed, getting out only for

very necessary reasons, and sleep as much as you can

and/or keep your eyes closed when not sleeping,

this fasting method is the best for you , anything

else is extra for your body, and it is part of the

good old interventionist mentality, your pocketbook

won't be needed anymore, ever... so go ahead,

and heal yourself, it's easy, stay warm and

happy,attila
