Guest guest
A reminder of the EarthSave " Invasion " Potluck. We have been having a consistent " raw " turnout to the EarthSave monthly potlucks. The current board of directors is raw-friendly and provide us with our own " raw food " section, so our food is on it's own end of the food line. We get to raid our food so we can fill up on the good stuff and other's may still sample our foods and hopefully demonstrate to them how good raw food is. The " cooking demo " may not be of high interest to everyone, but the music should be nice and it's always nice to be among friends. It's also nice to be available for those interested in learning more about raw foods. I hope you can make it! Jeff * Special Valentine's Day potluck event, Thursday, 14 February 2002, starting at 6:30 pm at Seattle Unity Church (200 8th Ave. N. -- at the intersection of 8th Ave. N. and John St., across the street from Denny Park). Bring a meat-free dish to share and enjoy an evening of music, good company, and great food! This special, Valentine's Day event will feature the performance of a few original songs by Joe Hegel and a cooking demonstration by Marie Buckner of <http://www.UniqueCookery.com>www.UniqueCookery.com. Marie will show us how to prepare a few decadent desserts (including chocoloate mousse). In addition, there will be a prize drawing for all EarthSave Seattle members who joined/renewed since July 2001. You may join or renew your membership at the potluck and still be eligible for the drawing. Prizes include: a $25 gift certificate from VeganStore.com, a $50-value gift certificate from Back in Balance: Relaxing and Therapeutic Massage, an author-autographed copy of Cooking Vegetarian, by Vesanto Melina, and a few other interesting veg*nism-related books. Members must be present to claim their prize. (We are aware that, due to a snafu, some members have not received their membership cards in the mail. If you are one such member, please know that you will still be a part of the prize drawing and that we will be resolving the problem very shortly.) All EarthSave Seattle potlucks are free and open to members and their guests. You may bring your own plate, cup, and utensils. In consideration of people with food allergies or dietary restrictions, please label ALL ingredients. (No flesh foods, please.) If you need ideas on what to bring, please visit <http://seattle.earthsave.org/Events/FAQ.htm>http://seattle.earthsave. org/Events/FAQ.htm and look up the " Potluck FAQ's.
