Hello all you music lovers!

 

The annual Evening of Swing dessert (cooked) dance is

tomorrow at Evergreen High School in Burien. Oh Christian B,

where are you now? :-)

 

This is one of several fundraisers for the Evergreen Band

members to raise money to go to Victoria BC in May. They are

asked back every year to perform in the Victoria Day Parade and

to perform on the steps of the Parliament (?) Building. Both Ali

and Tyler Reeves are members of the band and are hoping to

travel.

 

Tomorrow evening will be an outstanding performance by

award-winning high school jazz students who are committed to

6:30 am daily rehersals before school begins. My own daughter

Ali is the sole jazz pianist this year! The Jazz Ensemble was

asked to play at Jazz Alley last year!

 

After the high school jass ensemble plays, then a professional

group called West Seattle Big Band will play for your listening

pleasure.

 

The ticket price you ask? Only $5. Donations gladly accepted if

you cannot attend. You don't have to dance! Just listening to the

music and watching people is quite a nice evening of

entertainment.
