Position Description

BODYWORK PRACTITIONER

Position Summary:

This position provides a full range of rejuvenation treatments to clients,

including specifically massage, lymphatic massage and various mechanical

detoxification treatments, such as ozone steambox, available to Tree of Life

clients.

 

Responsibilities:

1. Provides a range of bodywork treatments to clients, including massage and

lymphatic massage. Shows a willingness and ability to learn other common

bodywork treatments performed at the Tree of Life.

2. Using appropriate mechanical skills and advanced understanding of the

therapies provided, guides clients through the full range of mechanical

detoxification treatments provided by the Tree of Life.

3. Provides an energetically positive, warm and welcoming interaction with

clients at all times.

4. Using advanced understanding of the therapies provided, assists in

maintaining the quality and integrity of the rejuvenation treatment area and

equipment.

 

Qualifications:

1. An understanding of, and a heart-felt affinity for, the mission of the

Tree of Life. An intention to live a life grounded in spiritual awareness

and practice. A desire to live in a community of like-minded people.

2. Positive, professional attitude, demeanor and behavior at all times.

Ability to collaborate with others and to communicate appropriately.

3. Enjoyment from client contact with a strong focus on and ability to

provide excellent client service. Strong listening skills and attunement to

client needs within clear, strong, and appropriate professional boundaries.

4. Prior massage and lymphatic massage experience; advanced training

preferred. Strong willingness and ability to learn the full range of

bodywork and other detoxification treatments offered at the Tree of Life.

5. Participation in the live food, vegan lifestyle at the Tree and

understanding of the detoxifying, rejuvenating and health benefits of doing

so.

3. Salary is commensurate with the Tree’s modest salary scale.
