Guest guest
Please sign and pass along - Thanks, Joe & ShariThank you in advance for forwarding this petition on to others! We're fighting mad! Right now there are thousands ofmulti-million-dollarcompanies advertising junk food to kids barely old enough totalk. It's onething to advertise junk food to adults who can make intelligentchoicesbased upon their education, knowledge, and experiences. When yougoafter 4-year-old kids to make a buck, and you bombard them withjunk foodads on TV, programming them to reach for a candy bar when theyare hungryand a pop when they are thirsty, that's just wrong! What thesecompanies aretrying to do is create a customer for life! The proof that thisworks sowell is that we are a nation of junk food addicts! The addictedonesinclude a lot of people in the Health Care Industry who see theresults ofthis lopsided programming every day!We are supporting a nonprofit campaign called "Take a FruitBreak," whichaims to create and air 30-second TV commercials all over NorthAmerica thatmake eating fruit just as seductive as eating junk food! We havetriedreaching out to corporations and the media for support for thiscampaign;so far the main feedback that we get from them is fear. Fear oflosing theirsponsors, fear of the bottom line, fear of a loss of revenues. Onthe otherside we are getting an overwhelming positive response fromparents all overNorth America and the UK. So we realize that this is going tohave to be agrass-roots campaign and we are now reaching out to peoplethrough theInternet. WE NEED YOUR HELP TO MAKE THIS CAMPAIGN REACH CRITICALMASS.Here's how we can work together to help improve the lives oftoday's kids:1.)
