Guest guest
Hey Joyce, How have you been? We were starting to be blessed with your presence on a regular basis right around the time I moved away. Boy did I get screwed! No more Joyce. What was I thinking? Cleary I never should have moved away! Hi Guy! I wrote you a while back and I think I sent the message through the and .... Oh how thoughtful of you. Just so you know, I'm not sure if I ever really read the RawSeattle group. I'm not the biggest newsgroup reader. So it's always best to just write me directly, or if you want to include everyone you might CC the RawSeattle@.. address. My dad seems to love it. He has always been more active in Seattle's newsgroup than me. Have you ever conversed, or coresponded, I guess I should say, with him in the ? So how is Zoki? Do you hang out with other mom's who talk about foreign planets as if they were in their back yard?: immunization, flew season, ear infections, diahrea. I swear my sister, new to the mom scene (has a 7 month old) and she and her new baby are constantly ill. My sister called me and sound like an alligator or something, she has tonsillitis at the moment. And then she tells me stories about how my sweet little niece is eating her first cheerios and I'm on the other end thinking, please for heaven sakes , don't feed her cheerios, but alas I kept quiet. anyhow, I was very surprised to know that you are in Sacremento! Yep. Actually, I'm pretty sure in the next 5 years I'll move again. This isn't far enough south for me I'm affraid; I need to be near an inhabitable bit of ocean. I'm a beach bum. From about 11-15 I used to get to body surf and boogie board (nobody would loan me a surf board ) during the summers, winters, and spring breaks. Some of my happiest days were spent on the beach swimming for a few hours, eating, snoozing in the warm sun, swimming some more, and then repeating the whole process all over again. I'd get to spend about 7 hours a day at the beach. Ahh. It's okay though, I plan on retiring, to some place tropical, where that can be the reality year round. Say at about 25 or so . Do you like swimming? Wave-riding? Your're a northern girl aren't you? That's okay, I think the beach boys put it best "and the Northern girls with the way they kiss, they keep their boyfriends warm at night..." . I bet the weather is much more conducive to raw life? Yes absolutely, I can still go out at lunch time and jog with my shirt off. However it is frigid, but so long as I keep moving and recieve direct sunlight I'm usually okay . My sister lives in San Jose, and it's still 70-80 during the daytime! Man that sounds great. I can't remember why ever lived up there. I mean I love Seattle, but really, it's not for human kind. If one can't sleep there outside at night, without getting hypothermia, it's just not inhabitable. I'm absolutely loving all the fruit and farmers markets. It's weird you guys have all the organic farmers, and we have all the produce go figure! In our defense we still have farmer's markets all year long though! There's a huge one on sundays under some major freeway interchanges (don't worry the cars are really far up so you can't smell the exhaust at all). I know I'm sentsitive to these things. The farmer's market is probably 3-4 times the size of the U-district one. It's great having everything grow here. My next store neighbor has lemons, hachiya persimmons, and tangerines (yes it's the only orange that seems to taste good around here, although supposedly navels will taste good in febuarary), and my dad has calmyrna figs (about a 100 year old tree!), tomatoes (new), chocolate persimmons (new), fuyu persimmons (new), and black mission figs. What I'm going to try and do is make a map of the town every month and keep track of where all the produce grows and then I can just scam it whenever I want. We do have a community garden, but everyone is supposed to tend and eat their own labor. I will be planting there soon. You have to pay 25 dollars bi-anually for a plot the size of a master bedroom. What are you amusing yourself with in Sacremento? Hmm...I've been trying girls, but so far my actual luck "has varied" (leaning towards the lonely variation ). I need to stand up be man and write a really sweet, cuddly, snuglly, and sensitive single's add. No seriously, I've been going to the gym mainly, I've been riding my bike everywhere (I sold my Integra, I loved my car, and should've named it while I still had it (Yep all three Integras)). [My driving record might have a few totals in it.] I have also been jogging and rollerblading places, it's so nice, to be able to go outside and not freeze your ass off. Anyhow, I'm sorry you left us - your presence is greatly missed! Thank you, I miss you too. Will I get to see you at Portland? Did you set aside the time to attend this year? It's really a lot of fun, newcomers, and veterans can all learn, enjoy each other's energy, munch, and have slumber parties. Happy longest night of the year. Wow, I can think of some times where I could've used that. During finals, before athletic competitions, and interviews. many hugs from all of us, joyce, mark and zoki I gladly accept everyone's hugs, and intend to return the offer in multiplicative quantities, Oh, ya it's a day late, but what the heck, Merry Christmas Love, Christian JOY Get more from the Web.
