Guest guest
Dear Seattle Raw Foods Community, As you all know from http://www.RawSeattle.org/Events/2001-12-14.htm, it's our very own raw goddess Michele Rogalin's birthday this Friday. As you can also see, she wants a Green Life juicer. Well, it just so happens that I conveniently have one I'd like to pass on. :-) I'm writing this message in the hope that many of you will be willing to chip in a part of the cost to buy it from me as a gift to Michele from the Seattle Raw Foods Community as a whole. Is that a brilliant idea or what?! :-) I'm sellecting out Michele from the recipients of this message in the attempt that the gift be a surprise. So if you share my sentiment, don't let word get to her! My Green Life is in pretty new condition, as I've only used it around 20 times maybe. The door that holds the power cord in the machine's body doesn't stay shut, but we all know Michele's the type [just like me :-)] who'll leave the cord out anyway, right? ;-) I got the juicer, along with the video, instructional materials, and the fruit attachment for a total of around $420 including shipping and handling. I would include in the gift package everything I got from the purchase. Given the juicer's good condition, I figure a fair price to sell it is $350. That means that if seven of us contribute toward the gift, each would pay $50. If 14 of you go in on it, each pays only $25. You can also use this opportunity to make a thank you donation to Christian and/or me as your webmasters for running RawSeattle.org for these numerous months (see http://www.rawseattle.org/Donations.htm). So please respond back to me ASAP, either through e-mail (you'd probably want to address me individually at RawSeattle, rather than writing to the whole group) or phone at 206-706-1387. I'll make the deadline 5PM Friday, so that I have time to put all the stuff together to bring to the birthday celebration starting at 6PM Friday. What I need to know is, what $$ maximum(s) are you willing to contribute, to 1) Michele's gift and/or 2) a donation. That way if I get, say, 12 people each willing to contribute an average of $30 to Michele's gift, it's a go! I can then collect payment the next time I see you. I encourage you to be generous this holiday season! yourRawSeattle.org webmaster, Eric Farris
