EarthSave Seattle's city-wide vegan/vegetarian/raw-foods potluck is held at

Seattle Unity Church on the second Thursday of every month. In an

interesting departure from past potlucks, October 11th will be a lively

Games Night. In addition to the potluck dinner, there will be several board

games (from among Pictionary, Trivial Pursuit, Twenty Questions, and also

card games) for people to revel in, in smaller groups. If you would like,

you may bring your own favorite board game to play. Feel free to come in

your favorite Halloween costume, too, if you feel so inspired. We will have

a vote and give out prizes for the best costume, mask, and face paint. So,

come one, come all for an evening of fun!

 

All EarthSave Seattle potlucks are free and open to members and their

guests. You may bring your own plate, cup, and utensils. In consideration

of people with food allergies or dietary restrictions, please label ALL

ingredients. (No flesh foods, please.) PLEASE NOTE: there will be a

separate table for raw food dishes.

 

Bring along your checkbook or some extra cash so you can buy PCC and Safeway

gift certificates (scrips). Please remember that using these certificates

will help EarthSave earn up to 5% of the value -- at no cost to you.

 

We will also be selling tickets for our annual Turkey-Free Thanksgiving

Celebration, which is scheduled for Sunday, November 18th. Ticket price: $6

for adults ($7 if purchased at the door) and $3 for children aged six to

twelve; free admission for children under five. Besides food and drinks

(potluck format), the event will feature a live performance by

singer/musician Dana Lyons of " Cows with Guns " fame

(http://www.cowswithguns.com/danabackground.html). There will also be

display tables and door prizes. Grab your tickets early! A sell-out crowd

is expected.
