Guest guest
Hi, all. Queen Anne Thriftway has been having stacks of cases of tree-riped organic peaches from Frog Hollow Farm in Brentwood CA. They post the Brix number of 6 randomly chosen peaches every day. Last Saturday the brix number were 11, 12, 13, 14, 14, 15. I bought some and checked out one to be 13.8 and another close to 17 which really tasted good. They are advertising the Peach-a-Rama outside the wall, on the shopping bags and every employees are wearing a big pin with the Peach-a-Rama ad. They make it a big event and those peaches are going fast. You'd better call and find out if they are available before you go to the store. The phone number is 206-284-2530. You can check out the info from thriftway.com. The organic peaches from Frog Hollow are 3.69/lb and $29 a case. While I was there a hunchbacked old man walked toward the peaches and asked if they were organic. I said: "yes". He said: "Then I don't want them." I asked: "why?" He said: "It's a waste of money." But we know better, don't we? How I wish people will learn the value of organic food and the importance of sustainable farming!
