Hi Annette!

(Perhaps Mark Conrad can give us a " review " -- he's stayed here!)

Paradise! For those of you who have not yet visited the Gorge, its scenic

splendor and energy are awesome. Karen Knowler and I went for a hike while we

were there visiting Annette and Alyson during the Portland Raw Foods Festival.

When we reached the top of the mountain, the panoramic view and was so dynamic,

the energy so powerful, that it moved us both to tears of joy and gratitude.

As for Annette's house, it is one of the most warm and intimate domiciles I've

ever had the pleasure of visiting. Hey, even if the Gorge weren't there, it

would be worth the drive all the way from Seattle to just feel the warmth, love

in the air, and the perfectly balanced and artistically arranged colors and

textures of the interior decor. Fung shui, move over! This place is art in

applied design. And that amazing bathroom! Reminiscent of " Lifestyles of the

Rich and Famous " or " The Street of Dreams, " beautiful, perhaps hand-selected

large green slate tiles grace the entire room. Or is it a museum of earthly

pleasure? A huge jacuzzi bath tub beckons you into an oasis of a bay-window

extension with wonderful live foliage all around. Two shower heads, of course,

are not at all concealed as the waist high, completely transparent glass shower

door allows full view of the huge, slate-lined shower and slate bench.

Gosh, I didn't even talk about the master bedroom or the kitchen. You'll just

have to see them for yourself.

Just throw in a raw foods gathering and a day of hiking in the gorge... and

discover what ecstasy is all about. Go there... while you have the chance ; )

Would go myself, but I'll be in Europe... maybe I could cancel or shorten... naw

Mark
