Greetings Members:It may not be too late for you to sign up for the Internal Spring Cleansing at Mojo's Juice and Cafe beginning this week. It will be a great jump start to arriving at optimal health provided you remain focused and stay on track.More and more, it's becoming easier for you to monitor your proper food intake here in the D.C. Metro Area. Once you've completed your spring cleanse there are places and resources that you can take advantage of such as stopping by:1. A Quest for Fresh which is open a number of days through the week in Mt. Rainier, MD to pick up prepared live foods.2. Not far from Quest is a new business that offers live entertainment, has live veg friendly items on the menu. They are Atmosphere Digital, located in Mt. Rainier, MD as well. 3. Everyone by now, is familiar with Everlasting Life with two locations for you on

the way home, Georgia Avenue in D.C. and Capitol Heights in MD.4. Bus Boys and Poets located at 14th and V Streets, NW, DC has a very warm environment that includes reading literature, occasional live entertainment and veg friendly and live items on the menu.5. For those living in the Columbia, MD area don't forget about David's Natural who has prepared foods and Great Sage Vegetarian Resturant and Roots in Clarksville, MD.6. The Common Market in Frederick, MD has a host of prepared live foods also.7. Let's not forget College Park, MD. There you have the Berwyn Cafe who can make a live dish for you.If you're not successful with all of this, then I guess you have no reason not to call Tanikka at the DC Produce (202) 678-7079 and order the produce that you need at the most affordable prices. Dust off some of those recipes that you promised to make and

get busy preparing food for yourself. Come on, it's time to have some fun learning just what you can do for yourself. Go ahead a make a mess in your kitchen, totally ruin the recipe, make it again and perfect it. You won't regret it. There's no joy like having someone praise you for your culinary ability especially when it looks and tastes great!I'm going to tell you again just how great looking, fresh, tasty and affordable the produce is coming from DC Produce. We actually went over board with our purchase last week so for the next two weeks or so (however long the produce lasts) we'll be able to have gourmet items everyday rather than just on the weekend. Here are a few things we'll be preparing:Herbed Cashew Nut Cheese Roll with pesto in the center.Marinated Mustard Greens using Zakhah's recipeMarinated MushroomsAlmond Pate' Kiwi Sauce to pour over our fruit saladApple PIne Ginger for

something cool to drinkAvocado Dream SoupBroccoli SoupLive Fries made with JicamaAnd of course our daily green drinks and large bowls of salads. These are just a few things that can be done to break those bad old habits and ruts we sometimes find ourselves in. If buying and/or preparing your own food doesn't get it for you certainly, nature's recipe will do it every time. Yes, you can live on fruits and veggies, nuts and seeds. Let's face it, if optimal health is really what you're attempting to acquire, then these are your choices along with your ever growing spiritual self, plenty of exercise, proper breathing and positive thinking. We don't exist on food alone. There are many events going on that have been annouced through this group. Retreats, Yoga, Healing. Get out there and take advantage of them and be ready for the summer of your life.Let's start having some fun

folks!Remain Focused and Good Health to You Elaine

I forgot to add, I know there are over 400 members in this group who are reading these posts. I really don't know about everything that's going on so you're gonna have to help me especially those who don't reside in the D.C. Metro Area. Don't be shy, there has to be something going on in your neck of the woods. If it's your first time posting, please do so. You'd be surprised at what response you may receive. Let's get busy, it's time to come out of hibernation. The weather is changing, let's change with it."E.
