DC Produce Coop adds Organics

Greeting all,

I am writing to inform you that DC Produce Coop is

adding organics and a all fruit box (conventional) to

what we currently offer. All of this additions will

start the week of the 5th in February.

 

Organic boxes come in large and small. The small box

will be $30.00 and the large will be $55.00 (you will

find the information of whats in each at the bottom of

this letter)

 

Our Organic boxes will be handled slightly different.

Payments will be due a week before pickup to allow

time for ordering. So order and payment are due on

January 31, 2007 for pick up on February 5, 2007 Also

there is a minimum order of 11 orders total for the

coop for us to be able to do organics. If we do not

reach 11 orders for the week organics will be

canceled, and you will notified by Tuesday afternoon

if organics is canceled for the week.

Organics will be distributed on a different day than

our conventional boxes. Organics pick up will be on

Mondays at the Francis A Gregory Library from 6-7pm.

Also because of the change in prices and availability

of organics some substitutions may be made from week

to week.

 

Fruit Box we have added will be $17.00 and will be a

part of what we offer on Wednesday pick up.

1 Leaf or Green

2 Tomatoes

4 Starch (Potatoes, corn, etc.)

3 Onion (maybe more)

2 Peppers

1-2 veggies (will change with availability)

 

Large- 55.00

 

2-4 Fruit (6-8 of each)

2 Leaf or Green

4 Tomatoes

6-8 Starch (Potatoes, corn, etc.)

4 Onion (maybe more)

4 Peppers

1 Carrot

1-3 veggies (will change with availability)
