synagis shots for preemies - anyone know about this?

Does anyone have any research on the antibody shot SYNAGIS for preemies. It is supposed to protect against RSV. My son is an ex-28 weeker. Because of his prematurity, he is scheduled to have them throughout the RSV season. He had his first round yesterday. I just feel as if I have not done enough research.
