Guest guest
Come out for a raw vegan potluck picnic on Sunday! Join us from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. (maybe later) in Washington, DC's beautiful Malcolm X/Meridian Hill Park. It's located just off 16th Street N.W. above U Street. The park itself is beautiful, and there's plenty of room for kids (and adults) to run and play. Please feel free to bring outdoor games you'd like to share with the group. Later on there should be drummers in the park to enjoy, plus some great soccer to watch or play. We'll meet at the upper level of the park (across from where the drummers gather) on the 15th Street side, right at the top of the stairs to the upper level. If you don't know the park, it's just 2- 3 square blocks (with cascading fountains on the lower level) from 15th Street to 16th Street and from Florida Avenue to Euclid Street. Once you get there, it should be easy to find us. Join us if you can! Everyone is invited, regardless of how extensive your experience with raw food is. For inspiration about what to bring, go to http://www.living-foods.com/recipes/. If you haven't made a lot of raw food recipes or you prefer to eat more simply, you can bring a simple veggie or fruit salad, fresh fruit, etc. Please bring only raw vegan food to share, preferably organic. An ingredient list placed next to your dish is helpful for those with special dietary interests/constraints. Please bring serving utensils for your food! Potluck Location: Meridan Hill/Malcolm X Park, upper level next to 15th Street to the right as you come up the stairs. Host: Steve Seuser Cell Phone: 2*0*2*4*8*7*6*0*6*5 Email: steve.seuser at gmail.com Metro Directions: Take the green line to the U Street station, 13th Street exit. Walk west toward 15th Street and turn right. The park is just two blocks north on your left. Driving Directions: Paste the following link into your browser: http://maps./maps_result? addr=15th+Street+and+belmont+street+NW & csz=washington+dc Click on " Driving Directions " below the blue Maps header bar for specific directions from your location. There's street parking all the way around the park, but it's safer parking on surrounding streets instead of 16th Street unless there are already other cars parked there.
