Preparation for Class: Wear comfortable clothes. Try to avoid eating a meal and drinking liquids less than two hours before class. Digestion requires tremendous energy and can greatly interfere with your practice. Feel free to bring a water bottle to class. Class will begin with a candle lighting ritual. Yellow and blue candles will be used. Yellow represents the power and strength that comes from self-control and self-discipline. It corresponds to the third chakra, solar

plexus. Blue represents spiritual insight, wisdom and intuition. It corresponds to the sixth chakra, third eye. The meditation will be centered on the following: Monthly principle: Independence is understanding that your freedom rests in knowing that Creator is your source. When you recognize

this as truth, you begin to see that no person or experience can hold you hostage or limit your potential. Scripture: “Where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom.” Corinthians 3:17 (Holy Bible, New International Version) Goddess energy: Pasowee is a Native American Kiowa goddess of willpower and endurance. We will focus on yoga poses that bring peace and relaxation to the body and can strengthen the solar plexus and third eye chakras. Aromatherapy made from citrine and lapis lazuli gemstones, and peppermint and frankincense oil will be available for use during the class and purchase after the class (Groovatherapy - $10).
