i can't really answer the question but i had a slightly similar situation

with my little one at the whc. when they gave her phototherapy they tried

to guilt trip me into giving her formula because they said she was not

gaining weight and not excreting enough. i ignored them and breastfed her

about every hour and she gained weight and excreted in one night.

i hope you get help w/ alternatives.

I agree with you, the same thing happened to me and my five pound daughter. They want everyone on formula and they will tell you things to place fear in your heart. I never gave her any, I kept her on that abreast, ate well and took supplements. Now she is a giant! Too big, So be strong and follow your inner voice, because next they will be telling you your children will be at great risk without all the shots. Decisions decisions.
