Guest guest
Greetings, I went into preterm labor last week and delivered my son at 28 weeks (I wasn't due until July 20th). He is doing well in the NICU. I'm doing fine physically, but taking it day by day mentally. As an attachment parenting mother, it's extremely difficult being at home without the child I carried for so long. Being able to feed him with my breast milk is a blessing and, inshallah, he will be exclusively breastfeed when he comes home. I have to pump around the clock every 2-3 hours in order to maintain my milk supply. Are there any foods that are particularly good for boosting immunity and/or milk supply? I was about to purchase a green food supplement yesterday to take, but wasn't quite sure if it would irritate the baby's fragile gut. But if I take something to boost my own immune system, such as Garden of Life's Primal Defense won't it help the baby too through my breastmilk? I hear so much about preemies having weak immune systems. Is there something safe I can pass to him through the breastmilk? ***************************************Monica Z. Guest guest
greetings monica some things that you could take for increasing your breastmilk include, fresh green juices, red raspberry tea, milk thistle, red clover, sesame seed milk, fenugreek tea these items have a full spectrum of vitamins, minerals and aminos which are needed for you and the baby hope that helps, also stay as positive as possible as the baby ingests from you physically and spiritually peace and blessings belitMonica Utsey <zionismyjoy wrote: Greetings, I went into preterm labor last week and delivered my son at 28 weeks (I wasn't due until July 20th).
