In my opinion, the best way to get B-12 is from probiotics (friendly flora) that we are almost all deficient in because they are destroyed by anti-biotics, stress, steroids, birth control, Antacids, chemo & radiation, and especially the typical American diet. When we have the good bacteria in our gut they make many vitamins for us, including the B vitamins. I find anyone suffering from depression and especially anyone with Candida/yeast recover wonderfully by taking a large amount of a wide range of flora for a week and then going down to the daily amount recommended. It works for me and has worked for many of my clients.

On Behalf Of tina davisThursday, February 16, 2006 7:04 PM Subject: Re: B12 , the cessation of menstruation, sprouted grainsHi ThereIn my experience, I need sprouted grains in my diet. Without the bulk of grains, I get diarrea-every morning. Some people do fine without it I'm sure but sprouted grains work super for me. You just have to fine tune your diet. Try things and see what works for you. I know everytime I eat dried apricots I get upset stomach so I can't eat them while maybe someone else can.And B12 is essential in the raw food diet but I have yet to find a supplement that I trust. Still working on that one.Tina DavisCertified Reflexologistbelityisrael <belityisrael wrote:

greetings checking to see if anyone had any reliable information on the actual B12 requirements of raw foodists, do we really need artificial supplements or is that just part of the hype and does anyone have any insight on cessation of menstruation on a high raw food diet, also with having read grain damage, are the same types of problems experienced eating sprouted grains as with cooked grainsthanxbelit
