I just received word of this very enticing raw vacation coming in April in the West Indies. Does anyone on this list or anyone else you know in the DC/MD vicinity plan to attend this? Please tell me long before the registration deadline because I'd like to travel with you if possible. That would further inspire me to join this amazing opportunity, despite the expense. Thanks all.

About Dominica

Dominica, known as the " Nature Isle of the Caribbean, " is about four times the size of Washington, DC. Today, 80 percent of the island remains untouched as it close to a modern day Garden of Eden as any other place on Earth. Dominica has a population of approximately 70,000 people, including 3,000 indigenous Caribs (the only island in Caribbean with surviving indigenous inhabitants). Everyone speaks English.

Nature Activities

Daily nature walk, activities and excursions will be available for all fitness and endurance levels. Dominica features a variety of natural attractions including 365 rivers and streams, waterfalls, hot sulfur springs, a boiling lake (considered the world's largest) and four freshwater lakes, two of which are situated more than 2,500 feet above sea level.

Jungle Bay Resort is a 55-acre tropical rainforest hideaway nestled on the gorgeous east coast of Dominica in a tropical setting you won't forget. The fifty tropical hardwood cottages are elevated on wooden posts along the hillside, nestled under a canopy of tropical trees in harmony with nature.

The buildings are constructed of tropical hardwood and volcanic stone giving the resort a warm, rustic feel. The sounds of Jungle Bay are birds in the trees and the breaking ocean surf the perfect atmosphere for rest, relaxation, and rejuvenation!
